In 2362, on a mission to map uncharted section of Draco Cluster, encountered a nebula with high levels of antilepton particles, which shipΓÇÖs sensors could not penetrate. Daren devised a new mapping system whereby nadion pulses were utilized to echo-locate varying densities of matter, allowing a preliminary mapping of the sector. As a result, Darren was promoted to lieutenant commander, assistant head of stellar cartography department. Promoted to head of stellar cartography, 2365. Mapped Sectors 1608-9, discovered uncharted asteroid field therein. In 2366, transferred to Starbase 218, headed project to update official charts of Sector 1609 for Starfleet use. In 2369, transferred to U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D under Captain Jean-Luc Picard as head of stellar cartography department. On stardate 46693.1, when a fierce firestorm threatened lives on planet Bersallis III, Daren supervised installation of thermal deflector units to protect inhabited outpost. She and several crew members risked their lives by operating the deflectors manually so all 643 colonists could be safely evacuated. Shortly thereafter, Daren was transferred upon her request to U.S.S Yosemite stellar cartography department. Mapped several key sectors along Cardassian border during recent Federation conflict with Cardassian-Dominion Alliance.
